EARTH TECH TO PROVIDE ENVIRONMENTAL SUPPORT SERVICES TO THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE IN WESTERN U.S.
Win Continues the Company’s 21-year Service Record for the USPS
LONG BEACH, Calif. (July 09, 2008) – Earth Tech Inc. is one of four companies awarded a five-year contract to provide environmental support services to the U.S. Postal Service’s (USPS) Western Facilities Service Office, although projects could be conducted at any location in the United States. The five-year contract has an overall ceiling of $5 million.
The new contract allows Earth Tech to provide environmental services to the USPS throughout 20 states in such areas as site assessments, industrial hygiene support and emergency-response actions like those Earth Tech provided to the USPS nationwide after the detection of anthrax in U.S. Postal facilities in 2003.
“This contract enables Earth Tech to continue delivering top-quality environmental support to the U.S. Postal Service,” said Tom Maertens, Earth Tech program manager. “The strength of our relationship with the USPS and the confidence they have in us is based on the quality of the environmental services we have provided throughout the United States for more than 20 years.”
Earth Tech has provided environmental support services to the USPS since 1987, managing more than 340 projects with a project team of more than 350 staff members.
Since 2001, Earth Tech has been one of four companies holding a 10-year, national environmental service contract with the USPS Environmental Management Policy office. The company also currently maintains a six-year contract supporting the USPS in Philadelphia and surrounding areas; a five-year contract supporting postal facilities in the New York metro and surrounding areas; and a five-year contract supporting the USPS Major Facility Office in the siting of new facilities and renovation/expansion of existing facilities in the U.S. and trust territories.
