COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL

We not only design facilities, we create a framework for the future

Commercial and industrial facilities tend to have multi-faceted, multi-disciplined requirements. Earth Tech’s team understands these needs from a design perspective and from a business perspective. Our approach involves the development of a thorough understanding our clients’ goals and then delivering all services required to meet or exceed the objectives.

Commercial / industrial services provided by the facilities group include architecture, mechanical, electrical, civil and structural engineering, refrigeration, environmental management and wastewater treatment. Earth Tech works with companies in a number of different areas, including the process, maintenance, repair and overhaul and the manufacturing industries . Each sector requires a unique application for business management, process design, functional planning and facility layout to support infrastructure needs and environmental compliance.

Process Industries

Earth Tech applies proven engineering principles and practical experience for new plants and expansions or modifications to existing facilities for our clients in the process industries. For clients, especially in the food and beverage and the chemical sectors, we understand the technical and economic concerns for production efficiency, ROI and regulatory compliance.

Earth Tech’s food and beverage team has an in-depth understanding of the industry’s unique challenges. And, as deep as our knowledge is, our client experience is equally broad. Earth Tech professional have worked with clients in a variety of segments including meat processing, feed plants, grain handling, breweries, distilleries and wineries, dairy processing plants, warehouse and distribution.

Earth Tech's chemical engineering teams provide services to a wide variety of clients within the chemical industry, including pharmaceutical, commodity and specialty chemicals, petrochemical and process piping. We are well versed in classical unit operations: chemical reaction (both batch and continuous), distillation, heat transfer, fluid flow, size reduction/material handling and mass transfer. Supported by state-of-the-art software for confirming equipment size and design, these teams have built a reputation among our clients for designs that are functional, economical and sustainable.

Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul

Earth Tech has provided integrated business management, project management, planning and design and construction management services for maintenance, repair, and overhaul facilities in both the public and private sectors for over three decades. We deliver value-added services that improve worker efficiency, productivity, reliability and safety in an environment that effectively meets the client’s maintenance needs.

Earth Tech provides functional programming and facility layout to effectively integrate the services and systems for maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities serving all modes of transportation and fixed equipment. These include rail, bus, truck and marine maintenance, aircraft jet engine test facilities, military vehicle maintenance, heavy haul equipment repair and stationary compressor repair facilities.

Manufacturing

The manufacturing industry continues to be one of the most powerful engines of economic growth, driving the technology boom and spurring economic activity.

Modern manufacturing is noted for its innovations, its wide spread use of high technology and its demand for highly trained workers. But the manufacturing industry also faces challenges, with intense competitiveness, complex business management issues and stringent environmental regulations.

Earth Tech works with clients in the manufacturing industry to develop technologically advanced processes that are realistic in today’s business world and tomorrow’s. Our common-sense approach to functional planning and plant layout focuses on economy, efficiency, practicality and constructability. We bring together the resources from different disciplines needed to meet the sustainable requirements for complex buildings and systems. For example, by integrating the expertise of our environmental engineers in the design process, we ensure that the waste characteristics, treatment options, recycling and reuse opportunities and final treatment and disposal processes meet the most stringent regulatory requirements.

Earth Tech’s manufacturing clients represent a broad spectrum of sectors, including aviation, automotive, health care, communications, technology, transportation, research and development, warehousing and distribution and raw material conveyance and storage.
